Description:

The mosaic murals entitled A Friendly Flock Touches Down, were inspired from children's artwork. The artist Lisa Houck, held art classes with children from the community at Ellis Memorial and United South End Settlements. The young students created beautiful prints, drawings and collages of birds that she used to populate the magical landscapes for the Frieda Garcia Park in Boston.

Frieda Garcia Park is a 12,000 square-foot park filled with playground equipment at the corner of Clarendon and Stanhope. The park was dedicated to Frieda Garcia's commitment to her community and leadership.
