Description:

The murals are a jumble of red and black figures and letters against a yellow background. A welcoming child says, “Hi.” “K-6” tells the school’s mission, along with the messages “Love Peace Soul,” and “I love you.”  One of the murals runs at a right angle along the top storey of the school’s playground side. The other mural runs along the top storey above the plaza where the school buses stop. Appropriately it includes a bus in its design. The murals were conceived by Maria Termini with the help of school children, and executed by The Architects Collaborative some time in the 1970s.
