Description:
This memorial commemorates the twenty men from South Boston who gave their lives in the Korean War (1950-1955). Their names are listed on a granite stele, along with the inscribed promise “They will always be remembered.” A towering granite soldier, dressed in the appropriate winter uniform, stands on guard beside the stele. The monument, created by the A. Monti Granite Company, was erected in 1993.
